We work with almost anything - the following is just our ideal. . .

LARGE FORMAT File Preparation

• up to 50" width: RGB files preferred
• 51" width plus: CMYK preferred
• build file to 150 to 200 dpi at final trim size
• supply all native, linked and embedded files
• supply fonts used in native file and placed eps files
• build files in proportion to the final trim size (1/4 size is fine)
• files to include 1/2" bleed of all elements & open ended trim marks
• confirm correct / exact final trim size BEFORE placing trim marks
• consider edge text placement (frames take off 1" of live area)
• specify if there are any graphic layers (visual openings, die lines, dimensions, etc.) or image layers that should not print
• if there are any requirements to color correct originals, a color match proof or your specific requirements should be indicated
• if high res scanning and manipulation is needed we provide the service at a very reasonable cost
  

SMALL FORMAT File Preparation

• Acceptable Mac and PC Programs: QuarkXPress, InDesign, PageMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator,  Freehand (we have latest version of each application)
• WORD,EXCEL,POWERPOINT and other database programs are not intended to be used for print production
• Graphics: TIFF or EPS formats (please do not save with LZW) PICT, PAINT, GIF, raw source files not acceptable
• Colors: Grayscale, CMYK, PANTONE RGB, indexed or lab colors must be converted (at add'l cost)
• PDF Files: PDF files not generated in-house often do not RIP properly. When providing PDF files as final file format, please also provide the native files and all supporting fonts and graphics
