On November 10th, 2009 San Francisco ICON Mr. Robert Cameron, the 98 year old best selling author, publisher and photographer of Above Books, passed on to his next adventure. In lieu of gifts, The Cameron Family would like people to visit Mr. Cameron's Environmental Journey, showing daily at the S.F. METREON.

In his last four years Mr. Cameron collaborated with Master Printer Tim Hall on final photo projects consisting  of portfolios of his finest work, The Environmental Journey and The Above Exhibit.  All of this photographic work has been light balanced, color corrected and printed by Tim.

Great Kolor now manages the Environmental Journey Exhibit and is pleased and proud to be the sole agent authorized by the Estate of Robert Cameron to market and sell Tim Hall enhanced images from the original Robert Cameron films.

During his fascinating life, Robert Cameron became a good friend to many celebrities. Louie Armstrong was one of those friends. Because this relationship went beyond photographer/client, he received stage access allowing for photography well beyond canned studio shots. Using a 4x5 press camera with slow extinguishing flash bulb (extreme brightness allowed for a tight aperture opening and very fast shutter speed) during a live performance, he captured the following extremely rare crisp image. Even though early prints from this negative had the light areas blown out, Mr. Cameron told me that Louie had told him this was the best performance photograph that anyone had ever taken of him.

Tim worked over six months on this single image. By creating three levels of masks and sandwiching them with the original negative Tim has brought details in the light areas that previously were not visible. All photographs have been archival washed and selenium toned.

Approximately 60 Photographic Prints were deemed 'perfect' and signed by Mr. Cameron. Tim has destroyed the masks and returned the original negative back to the Cameron Family. The 16"x20" graphic floats on a 20"x24" Photographic Print. Each is signed by Mr. Cameron with-in the 2" border. These very limited photographs are available for immediate sale as follows: RC-Prints are $1,200. each. Fibre-base prints are $2,500. each. Terms are COD + applicable tax, package, delivery.

10% OF ALL PHOTO PROCEEDS GO TO THE FUTURE ROBERT CAMERON SCHOLARSHIP FUND, THANK YOU.
